Ride For Reading - Fall 2010!

Dianne Davis, at age 70, will ride 1,100 miles on her bicycle from Birmingham, Alabama to Piedras Negras, Mexico to raise awareness for education.

For the past 24 years, Dianne Trippitelli Davis and Constructores Para Cristo (CPC) have built over 600 homes for needy families in Piedras Negras. In recent years, the faith-based organization’s vision has also expanded to offer medical and educational services to the people of Piedras Negras.

In the Fall of 2010, Dianne will undertake a new challenge -- A 1,100 mile solo bicycle “Ride for Reading” from Birmingham Piedras Negras.

In the same month as her 70th birthday, this courageous adventurer and fundraiser will ride against the elements with the goal of raising funds to benefit CPC’s educational programs (including improvements to the existing preschool and library facilites, and beginning plans for a brand new grammar school!).
